Ivan Mykolaychuk. Pieces of songs and destiny

The play is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Mykolaichuk — a prominent Ukrainian actor, director, screenwriter, and one of the symbols of Ukrainian poetic cinema.

In these challenging times, the Ukrainian folk song has become our talisman, a source of strength and memory. It was the very essence of Ivan Mykolaichuk's creative work, resonating in his films as an inseparable part of the human inner world and the voice of the Ukrainian soul.

The legendary director Sergei Parajanov said of Mykolaichuk: "I do not know a more national folk genius... Before him, there was Dovzhenko."
