The first part opens with the refined Divertimento in F major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart—music of clarity, balance, and joy, composed during his youth. Alongside it, we present the Divertimento by Béla Bartók—a 20th-century masterpiece where classical form is infused with drama, folk intonations, and deep emotional resonance.
The second part features Paul Hindemith’s original cycle, "The Four Temperaments," for piano and string orchestra. It is a musical exploration of human character, where each variation embodies a specific temperament—from melancholic to choleric—through vivid rhythms, textures, and moods.
This concert opens a fascinating dialogue between eras, in which classical clarity, modernist expression, and psychological depth resonate as different facets of a single musical world.
