The island has been inhabited since princely times; throughout its history, it has served as an industrial center, a venue for the loudest parties in Old Kyiv, the territory of an elite yacht club, and a base for scientific research.
Together, we will solve why the island has such a strange name and discover the traces of the old Trukhaniv Slobidka, where life once boiled with a school, a church, and even its own "Hermitage." We will learn about a rebel architect, see where Olympic champions train, and hear the legend behind the construction of the Pedestrian Bridge (Parkovyi Bridge).
