War erases presence. Buildings are destroyed, normal life is shattered, people are killed and separated. We must counter this chaos with the presence of what is important, what is valuable.
This Sunday, we invite you to talk about the treasures of the Treasury. Gold and silver artifacts, the most precious witnesses of our country’s history, have been kept in a secure location since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Yet, they endure, and we can still meet them—albeit through slides for now.
We will explore the main collections and discuss the beautiful and the eternal: the art of jewelry. The meeting with these artifacts will be guided by the museum’s senior researcher, Iryna Udovychenko.
The lecture will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Starts at 3:00 PM. Duration: 60 minutes. Participation fee: 150 UAH, or 100 UAH for seniors, students, and schoolchildren (no additional museum or Lavra entrance fees apply).
Advance registration is required by calling: (044) 280-13-96. Address: The Treasury of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, 21 Ivana Mazepy St., Building 12 (within the territory of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve).
