Concert "Organ under the Stars. Interstellar"

The Kyiv Planetarium invites you to a full-dome concert — "Interstellar" Organ under the stars, featuring two organs and breathtaking 360° video projections on the largest dome in Ukraine.

"Interstellar" means "between stars"... Under spherical video projections of cosmic and artistic themes, combined with powerful sound, visitors will fully immerse themselves in another reality. Our program unfolds from galaxy to galaxy, from era to era. The concert will feature works by composers such as Bach, Messiaen, Bonnal, Fauré, Boëllmann, Nazarov, and Zimmer.

We are very pleased to present our new, unique, and only-in-Ukraine premium-class instrument — the JOHANNUS REMBRANDT 3090 digital organ. This majestic instrument was named after the great Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn and is a rare classical organ from the renowned Rembrandt series.

The JOHANNUS REMBRANDT 3090 in pristine condition is a true feast for the ears and eyes, and playing it is a sheer pleasure. Its classical cabinet, combined with the many modern technologies used in its development and manufacturing, makes this amazing instrument a true work of art that fully lives up to its name. The model is equipped with a real-time sound reproduction system of famous pipe organs, utilizing direct digital recording to allow you to hear the original sound.

Accompanying it at the concert will be another equally brilliant star of our musical space — the sampled Notre-Dame organ. This features the sound of 7,400 organ pipes, recorded live in the cathedral itself and recreated using computer technology and a three-manual Johannus electronic organ. This technology most realistically reproduces not only the sound but also the acoustics of Notre-Dame de Paris. This very instrument has influenced the formation and development of organ composition and organ building worldwide.
