Historical picnic "Sweet Life of Kyiv"

We invite everyone who likes to discuss in a relaxed, light atmosphere, learn interesting facts about our city of Kyiv, and enjoy the beauty of Starokyivska Gora to the estate of our museum. Here, on the green hills of a part of our city, we are opening “Historical Picnics” for you. Bring your fragrant tea, coffee, and favorite treats.

The theme of the picnic, which will take place on July 11, 2026 at 12:00, will be “The Sweet Life of Kyiv.”

• When did the first Kyiv coffee houses and confectioneries appear?
• When were the first candy-making workshops created in Kyiv?
• Where did stockbrokers gather over a cup of coffee and exquisite desserts to discuss their affairs?
• How did confectionery factories compete with each other and what caused their decline?

You will learn about all this and much more by visiting the picnic!

Please note that refreshments are not provided at the picnic, so please bring coffee, tea, water and snacks with you.
