About event

In June 2023, Ukraine achieved a historic legal victory: the Supreme Court of the Netherlands upheld earlier rulings to return invaluable artifacts to Ukraine. These items had been on display in the Netherlands since 2014.

The collection features Ancient Greek, Roman, Late Scythian, Sarmatian, Hunnic, and Gothic artifacts discovered between the 19th and 21st centuries during archaeological excavations in Crimea. It consists of 565 exhibits (2,111 inventory items) from four Crimean museums. The exhibition also highlights the ongoing looting of archaeological heritage in occupied Crimea.

The display will remain a permanent fixture at the Treasury until the complete de-occupation of Crimea, after which the collection is intended to return to the peninsula.

  • When: Sunday, May 10, 2026.

  • Time: 4:00 PM. Duration: 1 hour.

  • Fee: 250 UAH; for seniors, students, and children — 150 UAH (includes museum and Lavra grounds entry).

Registration: (044) 280-13-96 or (093) 619 70 29 (Viber, Telegram). Address: Treasury of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine, 21 Ivana Mazepy St, Bldg 12 (Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve).
