Series of educational lectures from researchers at the Museum of City History

We invite you to a series of educational lectures by researchers from the Museum of Kyiv History. Together with museum scholars, you will discover lesser-known pages of the capital's history: from mammoth hunting and the symbolism of Kyiv buildings to the events of the Ukrainian State in 1918, the Kyiv addresses of the Grabar family, and the history of Ukrainian animation.

• July 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM — "Crests and Symbols on Buildings of the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries in Lypky." Lecturer: Olha Druh, Head of the Department of Kyiv in the Late 17th to Early 20th Centuries.

• August 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM — "How Mammoths Were Hunted in Kyiv." Lecturer: Andrii Lopushynskyi, Senior Researcher at the Department of Ancient and Medieval Kyiv.

• August 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM — Marking the 130th anniversary of the birth of Andrii Grabar (1896–1990), historian of medieval and Byzantine art. Kyiv Addresses of the Grabar Family. Lecturer: Olha Druh, Head of the Department of Kyiv in the Late 17th to Early 20th Centuries.

• August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM — "The History of Kyiv Animation." Lecturer: Olena Riabinska, Senior Researcher at the Department of Modern History.
