Art Talk "Art Collectors"

Our next art talk, "Art Collectors," will take place on July 5 at 4:00 PM in the cozy Readeat bookstore.

Art collectors are special people. Their love for cultural treasures is demonstrated by a level of experience and knowledge that can impress anyone they converse with. Every collector in the world has traveled a unique personal path in gathering artistic values. Yet, the most inspiring conclusion they reach is that art has enriched their lives in unexpected ways. As their collections have shown, the act of collecting itself is a form of art. We will talk about prominent collectors: the Medici family, Scipione Borghese, Louis XIV the "Sun King," Ambroise Vollard, Peggy Guggenheim, Albert Barnes, Bernard Arnault, Charles Saatchi, and others. We will pay special attention to Ukrainian art collectors during our talk.
