Academy of Laughter

The play "The University of Laughs" will be performed at the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Strategy Theater in Kyiv.

This is a play about writing a play. It features an Author and a Censor whose job is to ensure that everything in the work is "correct and proper." At times, they clash in heated arguments; at others, they share creative breakthroughs or simply exchange casual conversation. Each has a job to do.

The Censor does everything to prevent the Author from making a mistake. The Author does everything the Censor demands just to get his play approved. In the process, every critique turns into a joke, and the Censor evolves from a watchdog into a co-author. After a week of relentless work and struggle, the Censor begins to understand the Author and gain respect for the theater. But oh, the experiences they are destined to share!
