About the place
The house of Baron Steingel is one of the most romantic and mysterious buildings in Kiev, it is located on Yaroslavov Val Street, 1. The building was built in 1898 by the design of engineer Nikolai Dobichevsky, with a look very similar to the castle. After the construction in it immediately opened a cafe called "At the Golden Gate". In 1912, a cinema appeared inside the building on the first floor. In 1920, there were apartments.
