Exhibition: "Restoring Memory. Stolen Art in Museum Art Prints. The Kherson Collection" is a collaborative exhibition project by the Museum of the History of Kyiv, the Kherson Art Museum, and Vivid Fusion Art. The exhibition runs from February 4 to March 1.
During the occupation, numerous artworks were looted from the Kherson Regional Art Museum, including paintings, graphics, icons, and decorative arts. This exhibition publicly documents this loss and restores the collection to visual memory through museum-grade art prints created from surviving digital copies, archival photographs, and inventory records.
The exhibition features 30 art prints of works from the Kherson Art Museum’s collection—pieces that are currently physically missing but remain vibrant in our cultural memory. The display includes paintings and graphics by Leonid Chychkan, Mykola Pymonenko, Rufin Sudkovskyi, Ivan Aivazovskyi, Volodymyr Patyk, Kostiantyn Kryzhytskyi, Serhii Vasylkivskyi, Viktor Zaretskyi, and other prominent artists.
