About event

On March 5 at 5:00 PM, the Museum of Ukrainian Diaspora presents "Living Life," a solo exhibition by artist Lesia Babliak.

This project is an artistic exploration of the internal transformations experienced by the artist during the years of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. The exposition brings together two distinct series of works. The first is an artistic chronology of the war created during the first two years of the invasion—a documentation of tragic events that eventually led the author to emotional exhaustion.

The second part, started in the spring of 2024, is dedicated to the imagery of the garden. Flowers persistently blooming on grieving lands have become symbols of healing and the search for inner peace for the artist.

"Living Life" is an attempt to process the journey from documenting destruction to affirming the power of life. The exhibition demonstrates how emotional states—from pain to hope—transform into visual images, where both the war chronicle and the "relay of blooming" are integral parts of a singular life-affirming experience.
