Children were playing hide-and-seek and found a cave. And inside the cave, among millennia-old boulders, they stumbled upon long-fossilized seashells. "How old do you think they are? Are they older than mom? Are they alive? Are we alive?"
On September 17, we open the doors of the Small Gallery and present a new project to you — the personal exhibition Karina Synytsia. Discovery!
The project unfolds around the moment of an accidental encounter with something ancient—a fossilized seashell or a trace in stone—when you suddenly realize there is something much greater than yourself. The main protagonists of these encounters in the artist's work are children: inquisitive and thirsty for knowledge, they turn any place—from suburban Troieshchyna to historic Kudriavka—into a space of play and discovery.
The project also has a contemporary dimension, as today Ukrainian soldiers building fortifications frequently find themselves on the same level as the archaeological layer—alongside objects that will enter museum archives.
At the exhibition, you will see the project Fossils, consisting of paintings created in 2024–2025.

On opening day, we are open from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Due to security conditions, please avoid large crowds in the space.
