The exhibition "Values" brings together a collection of small-scale sculptures where historical memory, national archetypes, and the experience of modern warfare form a unified artistic space. At its core are the fundamental pillars of Ukrainian identity: freedom, dignity, memory, responsibility, the continuity of tradition, and the capacity for resistance. The project explores these values through the language of contemporary sculpture and fine jewelry art.
The compositional center of the exhibition is a modern reimagining of the "Motherland" monument—one of Ukraine’s most recognizable monumental symbols. By translating this image into the format of small-scale sculpture, the perspective shifts: the symbol takes on a human scale, entering a space of direct dialogue with the viewer.
Surrounding this central image is a cohesive series of sculptures that blend state symbolism, Cossack epics, and figures of modern Ukrainian resistance. The key idea of the exhibition is the continuity of the Ukrainian people's national strength—from the Cossack era to the present day. The hero of the past and the modern defender appear as links in a single historical process, where the forms of struggle evolve, but the internal foundations remain unchanged.
The project gains a distinct poignancy by blending historical imagery with the realities of modern war. In the artistic language of the exhibition, a saber stands alongside a Javelin, and Cossack figures appear next to the warriors of today’s struggle. In certain compositions, fragments of the aggressor’s weaponry—once a threat—are reimagined as part of the artistic form, gaining new meaning.
The intimate format of the exposition focuses attention on each piece, enhancing the personal impact. All sculptural compositions were created during the full-scale war, reflecting the experience of the time as an immediate reality shaping the artistic narrative. "Values" stands as a unified statement on Ukrainian identity, legacy, and internal resilience.
