About event

Friends! We invite you to the opening of "AS I SEE IT," an exhibition of naive art, on April 30th at 6:00 PM. This major art project was realized with the participation of leading museums, galleries, and private collections across Ukraine.

The exhibition presents Ukrainian naive art in its full breadth: from 19th-century folk art to contemporary forms and expressions. The project features over 50 artists and approximately 200 works—including painting, embroidery, sculpture, and graphics—ranging from iconic masters to modern artists working within the naive genre today.

Among the prominent Ukrainian figures featured are Maria Prymachenko, Kateryna Bilokur, Sergei Parajanov, Nykyfor Drovnyak, Polina Raiko, Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit, Hanna Sobachko-Shostak, Paraska Vlasenko, and many others.

A special highlight of the exhibition is the work of Zinaida Fomenko, an artist from Kramatorsk and a former railway worker who began her artistic journey after retirement. She carved wooden figures to assemble unique, monumental panels. Recently, her works were successfully rescued and evacuated from Kramatorsk.
