"The Rose Tattoo" is indeed a message filled with raw and candid sensuality, as the protagonists of this passionate story are temperamental and sensitive Italians.

Serafina lives and breathes through her love for her late husband, Rosario. Withdrawing from the world, she has focused entirely on her tragedy. Rumors of her beloved’s numerous infidelities only stoke the fire of jealousy in her heart, while the budding first love of her young daughter, Rosa, is sacrificed to overwhelming maternal fears.

It seems nothing can shake Serafina’s frantic devotion and worship of her former great love. But everything suddenly changes when a quirky young man named Alvaro appears in her home…

"The Rose Tattoo" marks the professional debut of acting students from the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television (from the masterclass of Dmytro Bogomazov).

Integrating the best student performances into the repertoire of professional theaters has become a fine tradition in recent years. Such collaborations serve not only as a springboard for the youth but also as a wonderful opportunity for the theatrical community to discover new names.

This new interpretation of the popular American play was brought to life by acclaimed artists — prominent director Dmytro Bogomazov and renowned stage and film actor Andriy Saminin.
