Serhiy Zhadan. Book Presentation: "Hymns of Baroque Wars"

Hymns of Baroque Wars is a new book of poetry, prose, and graphics by Serhiy Zhadan, to be published this autumn by Meridian Czernowitz.

On September 20, the Kyiv presentation of the collection will take place at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraine," the country's main stage, combining texts, light, and music. This event is made possible with the help of dear friends: the general partner of the event, "Persha Pryvatna Brovarnia" (@ppb.com.ua), and the technology company blago (@blago_developer).

Hymns of Baroque Wars features texts written in Kharkiv between 2024 and 2025. They are chronicles of the city's resistance, testimonies of human love, and the vocalization of what keeps us going and gives us strength. This is Serhiy Zhadan's first book in two years.

"I really want to gather everyone I haven't seen for a long time, everyone I haven't been able to meet in recent months, everyone I only hear about, but whose presence has inspired and helped me all this time. This is a special book for me—it contains many names, faces, and rays of sunlight. It is a sort of painful, conscious balancing act between poetry and prose, between font and line, between question and answer. I want to share this with you," says Serhiy Zhadan.

100% of ticket proceeds will be directed to the needs of the 2nd Corps of the NGU "Khartia."
