Romeo & Juliet

"My 'Romeo and Juliet' is a play about a spoiled world of elites, where maiden innocence is just another commodity. It is about how two young hearts, inspired by true feelings, refuse to become part of this world and instead dream of building their own. I am shifting the setting to a conditional present day, where the fossilized corporate establishment of the Capulets is opposed by young people who are unaccustomed to limitations and injustice — the parkour-practicing Montagues," says the opera's stage director, Dmytro Todoriuk, describing his vision.

The premiere of the production will take place on June 28, 2026.
