Throughout history, human life has been closely linked to beloved objects that we not only used in our daily lives but also cherished as parts of memories—of holidays, family gatherings, or other warm moments. Crimean Tatar pouches—kise—are exactly such objects: small treasuries of memory, warmth, and tradition. They were given as wedding gifts, passed down as heirlooms, and their embroidered ornaments carried wishes for happiness, love, and prosperity.
We invite you to discover this living heritage and create your own kise—a special gift that will warm the heart and bring joy during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The masterclass was developed in partnership with the NGO "Alem," which is dedicated to the protection and promotion of Crimean Tatar intangible cultural heritage.
