What to Do in Kyiv on the Weekend of July 4–6: Concerts, Markets, Festivals, and Exhibitions

The beginning of July in Kyiv promises to be both loud and touching. The capital will host a MONATIK concert with an album presentation at the Ukrainian House, a jazz jam at the National Circus featuring LATEXFAUNA and DANTES, open-air performances by CHEEV, LELY45, and MÉLOVIN, and a set by German electronic musician SCHILLER at “V’YAVA”. At Protasiv Yar — a three-day festival in memory of Roman and Vasyl Ratushnyi; at the Small Gallery of Mystetskyi Arsenal — an exhibition about life during war; and at the VDNG — a pet adoption festival.

Choose the events that resonate most with you.

Olia Yeriemieieva’s Exhibition “There Was Time, and Now There’s Not”

The Small Gallery of Mystetskyi Arsenal will open the exhibition “There Was Time, and Now There’s Not” by artist Olia Yeriemieieva. The display is based on the artist’s personal archive, created over several years of full-scale war. It includes photos of friends, the queer community, everyday life, parties, the silence between shellings, and paintings about loss.

The exhibition is divided into two spaces: the first is a frozen room with albums and photos, and the second is a painterly dialogue about what disappears but doesn’t let go.
