This weekend in Kyiv promises to be full of events, offering something for everyone. Whether it's a deep theatrical drama that makes you reflect or magical choreographic stories that convey emotions through movement, the capital provides plenty of entertainment options.
You can enjoy meetings with contemporary Ukrainian cinema, chamber music by a Spanish composer, stand-up shows, and unique festivals. Fans of family theater will also have the opportunity to spend a cozy evening with their children.
Based on the play by Natalya Vorozhbyt, this performance takes the audience back to 2014, telling six touching stories of people whose lives were changed by war.
The plot centers on a young woman traveling to eastern Ukraine to collect documentary testimonies. However, in the process, she becomes deeply immersed in these stories, experiencing them as if in a mirror world, where the lines between good and evil blur, and the roles of victim and oppressor interchange.
This is a profound narrative about how war affects human destinies and how love becomes fleeting and almost elusive.
