Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (since 2016 - National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kiev Polytechnic Institute" - KPI named after Igor Sikorsky) was founded in 1898. Over the years, he has trained nearly 370,000 professionals, of whom more than 60,000 - during the years of Ukraine's independence.
In terms of architectural and artistic qualities, the main building of the KPI is one of the best facilities in Kyiv for the educational purposes of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Students' classes in separate premises of the unfinished building began in 1899, and in 1900-01 there were transferred three departments of the institute, the office and the library.
