Welcome spring and all the "March cats" at Inna Ruda’s exhibition "It’s Meow-tastic Art" (Tse Miaustetstvo)!
Inna Ruda is an illustrator, designer, and art director who has collaborated with publishers like Maskot Books, ArtNation, and gift brands such as Orner and Gifty. Her favorite mediums are gouache and pencils. Inna draws a lot of cats—and she’s proud of it!
Hosted at Squat 17b, the exhibition features a series of homages to world-famous masterpieces, reimagined with cats as the main protagonists. This vibrant "cat-library" serves as a playful introduction to art history, creating a joyful spring mood for anyone who recognizes the iconic styles and plots.
At the opening, curator Nadiia Antonets will share the history of cats in art—from Ancient Egypt to the present day—and reveal the extraordinary felines that inspired the world's greatest geniuses.
Admission is free. All donations and proceeds from the sale of artworks and merch will be donated to purchase two sets of propellers for a Heavy Shot drone for the 1st Battalion of the 40th Marine Brigade.
Vernissage: March 5, 7:00 PM
Exhibition dates: until March 24.
