The main hall of the Imagine Point Gallery of Contemporary Art presents the exhibition "TRACE OF TIME."Liudmyla Davydenko, Alona Korolova.
"TRACE OF TIME" is a dialogue between two artists about the invisible process of change. In their works, this process manifests in different ways: as concentration and dissolution, as structure and fluidity. Time has no form, yet it leaves imprints—in the material, in the line, and in the density of space.
In Liudmyla Davydenko’s painting and sculpture, space is modeled by the intersections and interweaving of lines and forms, resembling the silhouettes of branches and roots, creating a fragile lace—the embodiment of memory. Here, time hides within the plasticity of layers, leaving thin threads of its continuity.
In Alona Korolova’s paintings, time is felt differently—it is embedded in the processes of blurring, erasing colors, and the interaction of tinted layers. The paint flows, is absorbed by the canvas, vanishes, and reappears. This is not a fixation of a moment, but a visualization of its consequence—the residue of experience remaining on the surface.
The distinct stylistic voices of both artists are united by their attention to the duration of processes and a desire for their intuitive reproduction through non-figurative art. Not the event itself, but its echo. That which remains. That which has already happened—and continues to live.
Opening reception: March 6 at 6:00 PM.
