Add to calendarCreate Your Own Crimean Tatar Pouch with Örnek Ornaments!
In honor of Ukraine’s Unity Day and the Day of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, we invite you to our educational program, "Kise."
Throughout history, our lives have been closely tied to cherished objects—things we not only use daily but also keep as mementos of holidays, family gatherings, and warm memories. The Crimean Tatar "kise" (pouch) is exactly that: a small treasure chest of memory, warmth, and tradition. These pouches were given as wedding gifts and passed down through generations, with their embroidered ornaments carrying wishes for happiness, love, and prosperity.
We invite you to discover this living heritage and create your very own kise—a special gift to warm the heart.
This workshop was developed in partnership with the NGO "Alem," an organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of Crimean Tatar intangible cultural heritage.
