The third part of the trilogy will be defined by shifting moods, the clashing of characters, and a movement from darkness toward enlightenment.
At the heart of the program are sonatas by César Franck and Francis Poulenc. The sonata is a musical form where contrast serves as the very foundation of development. This evening, these compositions will serve as a metaphor for human life, where emotions transition like day and night, like sorrow and hope. Yet, they do not contradict each other; instead, they complement one another, creating an inner integrity and a balance between drama and light.
Grand musical canvases stand alongside short miniature monologues, where the human voice is equally filled with emotional experience: bright lyricism beside inner pain, and tranquility beside anxiety. Ultimately, all these emotions are about us—our present and our future.
