The Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine invites you to a new exhibition dedicated to the legacy of the prominent landscape and still-life master, Fedir Zakharov.
Critics rightly called him a "domestic impressionist": the artist possessed a unique gift for transforming what he saw into a profound artistic image, capturing the play of light, the rhythm of brushstrokes, and the dynamics of nature on canvas.
The exhibition features over fifty works from the museum's collection, demonstrating the author's high artistic mastery and temperament. These include legendary Crimean landscapes painted on the Southern Coast of Crimea and in Yalta; picturesque views of the Chernihiv region (Sedniv), where the artist honed his spatial perception; as well as captivating nightscapes and exquisite still lifes.
Fedir Zakharov's work is part of the "golden fund" of Ukrainian art. As a People's Artist of Ukraine and a laureate of the State Prize, he continues to gift viewers with vivid emotions captured in paint, even decades later. The exhibition will run throughout the summer.
