Most of us have never seen a true Ukrainian steppe. Today, most of them find themselves under occupation or in combat zones. Many landscapes featuring wormwood and silver feather grass are currently out of reach for human eyes. But just because our native steppe cannot be seen right now doesn't mean it cannot be felt.
From August 17 to September 6, the Kyiv Museum in the Dark "Third After Midnight" will host the auditory exhibition "The True Steppe."
What awaits you at the free exhibition?
The soundscape of steppe ecosystems: the singing of larks and cranes, the rustle of grasshoppers, the quiet breath of the wind, the whisper of grasses, and the night conversations of bats.
Fragments of commentary from biologists who, against all odds, continue to research and preserve Ukrainian nature.
In the darkness, you will be guided by blind and visually impaired guides from the Museum in the Dark "03:00."
An introduction to traditional steppe plants.
Free admission with prior registration.
