The Research Platform’s exhibition, "Without Asking Permission," brings together works by Ukrainian artists created between 2004 and 2014. During this decade, the body emerged as a powerful tool for self-expression and resistance. Artists began taking their artistic gestures into public spaces, reacting to shifting political landscapes and redefining notions of physicality and embodiment shaped by post-Soviet morality and patriarchal norms.
