The building was built in the 1890s in the historic area of Soldatska Slobidka. Previously, there was a ravine on the territory of the building, which ran from west to east from the watershed between Lybidda and the Dnieper to the modern Lviv Square and was branched into numerous small pits. The entire south-eastern part of the ravine was occupied by the system of defensive structures of the Old Kiev fortress, with one of the "Minich shafts" (fortification of Field Marshal Minich) passing in the immediate vicinity of the estate.
The building is built in the style of historicism using elements of the Renaissance. In 1912, the owner of the house rented out part of the rooms in the building to expand the city school № 34. In Soviet times, the houses were used as housing.
