About the place
Pryberezhnyi Park is a modern park on Dniprovska Embankment in Kyiv, located near Berkivshchyna Bay in the Osokorky area. The location combines a green space, a riverside promenade, and areas for outdoor activities along the Dnipro River.
The idea of creating the park was presented by Kyivzelenbud in 2020. The project included a riverside promenade, cycling paths, sports and children's areas, as well as an open-air amphitheater with a pier on the Dnipro River.
Construction began in the summer of 2021, but the full completion of the project had to be postponed due to the outbreak of the full-scale war. In July 2022, the first section of the park, covering 2.22 hectares, was opened to visitors.
Today, Pryberezhnyi Park is a place for walking, sports, and outdoor recreation. It features cycling paths, a sports ground, and four children's playgrounds. The Dnipro riverbank was reinforced, and a riverside park promenade was created along it, becoming one of the location's main features.
