Otel' is one of Kyiv's best-known experimental cultural venues and a landmark of the city's independent creative scene. Since opening in 2013, it has occupied the grounds of a former ribbon-weaving factory in Podil, an industrial complex that has evolved into a hub for electronic music, contemporary art, and creative initiatives. Otel' hosted the very first CXEMA party, an event that helped shape Ukraine's modern rave culture and established the venue as a gathering place for artists, musicians, and cultural innovators.
Today, Otel' is much more than a nightclub. It is a multidisciplinary space for concerts, theatrical performances, festivals, exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, art residencies, and charity events. The venue actively supports emerging musicians, artists, curators, and independent cultural projects, providing a platform for experimentation and collaboration. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Otel' has placed an even stronger emphasis on community-driven initiatives, contemporary art, and fundraising events. With its authentic industrial atmosphere and commitment to creative freedom, Otel' remains one of Kyiv's most influential independent cultural venues.
