About the place
It is a monumental edifice with a six-pillar Corinthian portico (1877, architect A.Shile; reconstructed in 1936-40, architect S.Grigoriev).
Till 1991 this building accommodated the Central Committee of the Ukraine's Communist Party. Now it is the building of the Presidential Secretariate; here the Presidential regalia are kept: the National Flag (standard), the breastplate and the mace.
