"Museum for Everyone": Educational Course on Inclusive Practices

Dear colleagues, museum professionals, and educators!

The National Museum of History of Ukraine is launching a new educational project on inclusive practices: "Museum for Everyone."

We believe that a museum must be a space of accessibility, respect, and engagement — physical, communicative, emotional, and social. That is why we have created a course to help museums become truly accessible to all visitors.

Who is this course for? Museum staff, guides, educators, representatives of NGOs, cultural managers, and anyone who works with the public and aims to:

• Better understand the specifics of working with veterans and military personnel;

• Establish communication with visitors with hearing and visual impairments;

• Adapt programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities;

• Work more effectively with children of different ages;

• Discuss complex history and war with children ethically;

• Master ethical communication with people with speech and language disorders;

• Implement the principles of Universal Design in museum spaces.

Details:

• When: From February 26 to early April.

• Schedule: Once a week on weekdays, 13:00–17:30.

• Cost: Free of charge.

• Certification: Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

• Formats: Available both offline and online.

• Selection: Participation is based on an interview.
