Collodiy. Shrovetide at the Open-Air Museum

On February 21–22, the Open-Air Museum invites everyone to a vibrant and authentic folk celebration: "Masnytsia. Kolodii." It is a time for merriment, generous treats, ancient rituals, and pure joy as we bid farewell to winter and welcome the spring.

Visitors will experience a lively atmosphere of Ukrainian traditions, featuring folk songs and dances, ritual performances, fun games, and warm socializing. Masnytsia is a celebration of friendship and good cheer, where everyone can feel part of a large community and experience Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage.

We invite you to spend these February days in the fresh air, among authentic cottages, in an environment where Ukrainian traditions and a festive spirit prevail.
