More than half a century ago, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice created a work that forever changed the perception of musical theater. Jesus Christ Superstar conquered Broadway, the West End, and stages all over the world, becoming one of the most performed rock operas in history.
The Kyiv Opera presents a licensed production of this legendary rock opera by arrangement with LW Entertainment — for the first time in Kyiv and for the first time in Ukraine — in the Ukrainian language.
The performance Jesus Christ Superstar is not just a historical or religious drama, but an illumination of human nature through the prism of the world's duality, the cyclical nature of time, and the driving force of unconditional love.
