BAROMETER International Bar Show 2018

BAROMETER 2018 will take place on September 28, 29, 30, traditionally, in КВЦ Парковый • CEC Parkovy • КВЦ Парковий.

This year our main topic is BORDERS.

BAROMETER is all about borders and their absence. Technically, at our festival, there are borders between bars but in practice, there are no walls. We have clear borders to distinguish between food and drinks – they are located on different floors. Our speakers will talk a lot not only about gender, age and geographical borders (about them as well). They will also tell us where the border between a bar and a restaurant can be found and whether it is necessary to establish such differentiation. Moreover, they will explain how to avoid mixing together too many ingredients and tastes, eliminate borders between the usual and the unknown and share their stories, experience and secrets with you. How to get out of the comfort zone and create something radically innovative? How to find the courage to cross the border and where you should not do it under any circumstances?

Last year, over three days BAROMETER gathered in КВЦ Парковый • CEC Parkovy • КВЦ Парковий probably all people relating to the bar culture: from cocktail fans to legendary gurus and celebrities of the bar world. 

Just figures: 3 days, 15 thousand guests, 35 thousand cocktails, 14 tons of ice, more than 20 thousand glasses, 57 lectures, 39 tastings, 74 speakers from all over the world. 

The bar zone brought together a maximum number of the finest cocktails created specifically for the three festival days. Drinks in the form of ice cream, decorated with cotton candy, marshmallow, cuttlefish ink, spruce cones, buckthorn berries, figs, aquavit, kumis, lavender, chocolate truffles… 

Guests of BAROMETER had a unique opportunity to visit 24 bars from New York, Paris, Oslo, Tel-Aviv, Almaty, Minsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi. Among them, there were bars included in the list of the World`s 50 Best Bars. 

This year, organizers of the BAROMETER - Hoteliero Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Club – promise to gather even more bars from all corners of the world, prepare even more exciting topics and even greater speakers’ presentations.
