Which of the capital's drive-in theaters can city residents visit?
This new drive-in theater, opened in the summer of 2020, began its operations with a live broadcast of Elon Musk's rocket launch. Currently, the drive-in theater offers 2-3 movie screenings daily, featuring both new releases and classic films in HD quality.
Kyiv's Kinodrom drive-in theater
One of the oldest drive-in theaters in Kyiv is the 'Kinodrom' drive-in theater. The visiting process follows the traditional pattern: you park your car according to the markings, tune your FM radio receiver to 93.3, and immerse yourself in the world of cinema.
They haven't forgotten about snacks either: there's a bar serving sandwiches and drinks for movie enthusiasts.
Another new drive-in theater that opened in May can accommodate up to 50 cars. In the future, they plan to install lounge chairs for visitors without cars.

While «Planeta Kino» theaters remain closed, their owners are coming up with new ways to delight Kyiv residents with cinema. Over the past weekend, they set up a drive-in theater in the parking lot of Kooperativ Coworking on Sichovykh Striltsiv Street. Audiences had the opportunity to watch two famous films: Quentin Tarantino's «Pulp Fiction» and the classic rom-com 'Hitch».
Before that, «Planeta Kino» organized another outdoor movie screening. They set up a mobile cinema on the wall of the 'Levada» residential complex and showed the Ukrainian comedy «The Gentle Indifference of the World» to all interested.
One can only hope that similar screenings will become a regular occurrence.
Technopark A brand new drive-in theater with a capacity of 100 cars will showcase its first film on June 19. This drive-in theater with a 16 by 9-meter LED screen is brought to you by the Oscar cinema chain.
