The name of the heroic Kiev underground member Tatyana Marcus is already well known. In many respects, thanks to the efforts of the head of the Jewish Council of Ukraine, Ilya Levitas, in Kiev, at the intersection of Dorogozhitskaya and Elena Teligi streets, in December 2009 a monument was erected to the heroine of resistance, brutally tortured by fascists, who was an active member of an underground sabotage and extermination group and killed several dozen fascists.
Tatyana Iosifovna Marcus was born on September 21, 1921 in Romny, in a large and friendly Jewish family, in which there were six children.
