About the place
Kyiv Zoo was founded in 1908. Starting with a small collection of animals, today it has become one of the largest zoos in Europe.
More than 3,500 animals of about 400 species live and bring offspring here. The modern zoo is so large that you will need a whole day to get around it. Here you can see giraffes, lions and tigers, hippopotamus, and about 12 species of monkeys.
