Exhibition "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers"

On November 21, the NU ART Gallery will host the second part of the contemporary photography exhibition dedicated to the book "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers" by the French publisher Form. Paris. This exhibition continues the one held in May, inviting visitors to delve deeper into the creative world of Ukrainian artists reflecting on the realities of war.

The exhibition in Kyiv has become the centerpiece of the Ukrainian leg of a global tour that has already visited Basel, Paris, Strasbourg, Arles, and other cities. According to curator Dmytro Bohachuk, the second part of the project focuses on innovative approaches that allow photographers to boldly experiment with forms of expression, conveying both profound tragedies and the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit. The works on display harmoniously blend individual artistic visions with the unified concept, creating a vivid mosaic of images and colors.

The war has significantly impacted all aspects of life, including visual art. The works presented at the exhibition not only document the artists' experiences but also offer new perspectives on personal emotions and hope for a brighter future. Photography serves as both a witness to the times and a tool for interpreting reality, inspiring aesthetic and spiritual reflection.

The book "100 Contemporary Ukrainian Photographers" remains the cornerstone of this project. Featuring around 400 images, it creates a multifaceted portrait of contemporary Ukrainian photography.
