“The Tiger Trappers”

The Zoloti Vorota Theatre will stage The Tiger Trappers, a theatrical adaptation of Ivan Bahrianyi’s novel of the same name, directed by Pavlo Shpehun.

The story follows Hryhorii Mnohohrishnyi, an aviation engineer and political prisoner who escapes from a “death train” and finds refuge in a Ukrainian settlement in the Russian Far East, where he is taken in by the Sirkos family. The director has shaped the production as a legend, combining Ukrainian singing traditions with elements of Japanese Noh theatre. The production premiered in June.
