On March 5, we are reopening the solo exhibition by contemporary artist and photographer Ruslana Kliuchko, titled "Reverse Movement. Diaries," at the Small Gallery of Mystetskyi Arsenal.
The project will run until March 22, 2026. The exhibition addresses the experience of non/return—a state that is increasingly becoming a part of everyday life for Ukrainians during wartime. Through photography, graphics, and video works, Ruslana Kliuchko explores the movement between memory and reality, between a place that exists physically and one that is preserved in personal archives and recollections.
Many of the artist's projects serve as a "love letter" to her hometown, Khutir-Mykhailivskyi in the Sumy region, located just 10 kilometers from the Russian border. Ruslana continues to return there despite the constant risks. This reverse movement becomes a way of returning to oneself and an opportunity to dwell in a space that exists in the anticipation of catastrophe.
