     This play is a love story, bright, touching, a little sad. A chance meeting in post-war Moscow of a former war veteran who became a student studying winemaking and a Polish girl, a future singer studying at the conservatory, grew into strong, warm, mutual feelings. And soon a happy ending, but ... a government decree banning marriages with foreigners in the USSR was issued ...

     It will be many years before Victor and Helena meet again - each has his own life, family. Memories of the first meeting are still fresh and alive, but meaningless conventions, due to which it is impossible to transgress due to political, cultural and ethnic circumstances, forever prevent the heroes to rise above the essence of life, start all over again, connect their destinies and become happy.
