The last weekend of summer in Kyiv promises to be full of events: Jamala, YAKTAK, Zwyntar, and Lithuanian electronic musician REZarin will perform on large stages, while the terrace of Gulliver will host orchestral and choral renditions of Rammstein hits.
Meanwhile, VDNH will host Balkon Fest with conceptual outdoor spaces, and several exhibitions will open in the city’s museums — ranging from painting and etchings to photo projects about women in demining.
So, from August 29 to 31, choose between major concerts, intimate jazz evenings, art exhibitions, and open-air festivals.
On August 29, Jamala will give a solo concert at the cultural venue "V’YAVA" at VDNH. Her live performances are known for their emotional depth and powerful vocals that always resonate with the audience.
The singer traditionally closes the summer with a concert in Kyiv. This time, she will share new stories woven into her songs and perform her best hits for fans.

On August 30, Lithuanian electronic musician REZarin will perform at "V’YAVA" at VDNH. His tracks have been played on the stages of Tomorrowland and Weekend Festival, as well as in the sets of famous global DJs.
Joining him that evening will be Feelmark, Boosin, Cuprite, Feerica, Nataliya Skinz, and Diana Jo.

REZarin live full immersion show
From August 29 to 31, VDNH will host Balkon Fest — a competition of conceptual outdoor spaces as part of the IX All-Ukrainian Architectural Festival PROSTONEBA.
This year’s theme is "Art in the Open Air," exploring the interaction between art, nature, and space. Festival guests will discover new design solutions, author installations, and experience how contemporary Ukrainian art integrates into the urban environment.

On August 29, Bookstore «Є» will host a "Jazz Evening." Messer Band will perform a program of classic instrumental jazz for the guests. The atmosphere will be enhanced with cocktails.

On August 29, a concert by YAKTAK — one of the most popular new-generation Ukrainian pop artists — will take place at Atlas Club. His songs gain millions of streams, become TikTok hits, and are played on the radio.
In Kyiv, the artist will perform his top tracks — "Nyzhe zrostom" ("Shorter in Height"), "Endorfin" ("Endorphin"), and "Lyudy" ("People") — as well as new compositions.

On August 29, on the terrace of Gulliver Mall, the symphonic GosOrchestra along with a choir will perform songs by the iconic band Rammstein.
The program will include "Sonne," "Deutschland," "Du hast," "Mein Herz brennt," "Engel," and other hits in orchestral and choral interpretation.

From August 26 to 28, the "Lavra" Art Gallery will host the exhibition “Gardens That Remember the Storm” by Lviv-based artist Olena Papka. The small exhibition hall will feature over 20 paintings combining naïve female figures with modern ethnic motifs.
The project explores the inner states and emotions of a person during wartime, conveyed through the symbolic language of painting.

Exhibition "Gardens that Remember the Storm"
On August 28, the National Taras Shevchenko Museum will open the etching exhibition “Angelomania” by Maryna Vashchenko. This is an original series the artist has been working on for many years, reinterpreting the image of the angel in various cultural and spiritual contexts.
The exhibition features works created using the etching technique, which gives them clarity of line and expressiveness. The angelic images in Vashchenko's works are simultaneously dramatic and passionate, filled with internal contradictions and symbolic meanings. The exhibition will run until August 30.

Exhibition of etchings "Angelomania"
From August 22 to September 28, the Museum of the Book and Printing of Ukraine will host the exhibition “Genealogy of Identity. Imprints and Artifacts.” The exhibition brings together works by monumental artist Anatolii Polishchuk and his son, artist and curator Bohdan Polishchuk.
The exhibition, through paintings, decorative works, and personal artifacts, reveals a dialogue between generations — from iconostases and wooden carvings created by Anatolii Polishchuk in churches of Mykolaiv region to the contemporary artistic explorations of his son. The project emphasizes the continuity of Ukrainian cultural tradition and counters Russian propaganda about the identity of Ukraine’s southern regions.
The exhibition is open daily, except Mondays and Tuesdays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Exhibition "Genealogy of Identity. Prints and Artifacts"
On August 31, Kyiv-based band Zwyntar will perform on the terrace of Gulliver Mall. The band is known for its mix of dark folk, death rock, and post-apocalyptic aesthetics. Their songs “Ty ne Boh” (“You Are Not God”), “Divcha” (“Girl”), and albums *Mertvi Holosy* ("Dead Voices") and *Tysiacha Ochei* ("A Thousand Eyes") have become iconic for listeners who appreciate deep and mystical Ukrainian sound.
This evening, the band will present a program of well-known tracks along with new compositions. The concert will be held outdoors and will symbolically coincide with the last summer sunset.

On August 27, the National Taras Shevchenko Museum will open the photo exhibition “Women in Demining.” The exhibition is dedicated to Ukrainian women working in humanitarian demining, who clear areas of explosive remnants of war daily.
At the heart of the project are 29 stories of women whose work makes the country safer and brings Ukraine closer to recovery. The exhibition will run until August 29.
