What to do in Kyiv on the weekend of September 19–21: concerts, markets, festivals, and tours

This weekend, September 19–21, Kyiv offers a rich cultural program — from large shows by Monatik and DOROFEEVA to intimate concerts and symphonic experiments. You’ll have the chance to hear Dakh Daughters with a new program, walk the “Paths of Lazarus” on an author's tour, hear world hits performed by an orchestra on the Gulliver rooftop, join the “Festival of Thoughts,” or find vintage treasures at the Second market.

Here’s our selection of key events and locations to help you plan your cultural weekend route.

DOROFEEVA Concert

On September 21, a major concert by DOROFEEVA will take place at the “V’YAVA” venue at VDNG, featuring the HEARTBEAT program. The open-air performance will include well-known hits like “Smak-pechal,” “Dodajte svitla,” “Khaj pyshut,” “A ya vse plakala,” “Heartbeat,” as well as new tracks.

DOROFEEVA’s concerts are known for their energy, dancing, and live interaction with the audience — so this evening promises to be a bright event for fans of modern Ukrainian pop.

Dakh Daughters Concert

On September 19, Dakh Daughters will perform their program ANTIDOT at the International Center of Culture and Arts on the Alley of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.

Formed at Vlad Troitsky’s “Dakh” Theater, the band blends music, theater, and performance. The members play more than 15 instruments, shift from gentle vocals to expressive growling, and turn every show into a full theatrical production.

The new ANTIDOT program is an artistic project where music and poetry become a form of resistance and a response to informational aggression. It combines grotesque, drama, and energy — making Dakh Daughters one of the most distinctive acts on the contemporary Ukrainian scene.
