In Butyshiv Lane, a cozy coffee shop called «Mius» is hidden away. The name here is not about trends, but about memory: the founders are originally from the Donetsk region and named the place after the Mius River, which flowed near their home and is associated with carefree childhood and tranquility.
Inside, it’s bright, quiet, and homey. There is a large shared table for work, window seats, and several soft sofas that are perfect for longer laptop sessions. The coffee is made from specialty beans; the menu also includes hand brew, matcha, tea, and a good selection of desserts: pastries, cakes, fresh baked goods. From each portion of filter coffee, the coffee shop donates 10 UAH to the current fundraiser of the charity foundation «Vzaemodopomoha», so here you can not only work, but also support volunteers.
If you wish, you can come with dogs — baristas are always happy to see furry visitors.

OCTO Tower is one of the most well-known urban spaces in central Kyiv, where a coworking, coffee shop, school, store, and rooftop are gathered under one roof. The building belongs to the Oleksandrivska Hospital: it was once designed as an emergency exit from the territory and was later converted into a six-story multifunctional space.
The updated project was carried out by architect Vladyslav Goldakovskyi (Goldakovskiy Group Architects). Inside, there is plenty of greenery, vintage furniture, light walls, and accent paintings that make the space look both modern and cozy.
At the OCTO coffee bar, drinks are prepared exclusively by hand — without automatic machines, in an open workflow in front of guests. There is a selection of coffee, pastries, desserts, and all-day breakfasts. Thanks to the large number of seats and outlets, it’s easy to find a comfortable table for your laptop — whether you need a quick stop between meetings or a few hours of work.

«Shchyro» on Yurkivska is a place where it’s convenient to sit down with a laptop and work peacefully. The venue was created by the teams of «Druzhba» and «Parking», and it’s evident that they thought about guest comfort in advance.
Inside, there is a large shared work table, plenty of outlets, and several paired tables where you can focus on tasks. For meetings, there’s a lounge area with sofas or a summer terrace. The venue is accessible for people with disabilities and open to guests with pets.
The menu has been updated — now it includes dishes guests have long been waiting for: croque-monsieur with bacon, «breakfast to really fill up 2.0», a pulled beef toast, and a scrambled-toast with bacon. Seasonal items have also returned — pumpkin soup and pumpkin pryskantsi.
There is specialty coffee and several desserts you can take while working. It’s also convenient to come just to spend time with friends — the coffee shop has magazines and a small shop.

SET Cafe on Voloska is a new space from the Set Catering team that combines a coffee shop, work zone, and meeting area. The venue opened in Podil, and it’s equally convenient to work on a laptop, have lunch, or gather with colleagues or friends near the panoramic windows.
The menu is large and universal: breakfasts, salads, cold and hot appetizers, main dishes. Drinks include coffee, cocoa, fruit and grain teas, and craft lemonades. The format is suitable for those planning to stay longer and want more choice than coffee drinks alone.
Working here is convenient: there are window tables, plenty of space, and lots of outlets. Seating rental works on a voluntary donation basis — the venue collects funds for urgent needs of friends and guests.

Kakavo Cafe in Pechersk is the second venue in a mono-cafe chain focused on cocoa. Here, cocoa is prepared in different variations: mint, banana, coconut, and other seasonal flavors. The menu also includes coffee, signature teas, sandwiches, desserts, and several cocktails.
The space is suitable for work: there are plenty of outlets, window tables, and spots for longer work sessions. The atmosphere is calm, without unnecessary noise, and special treats are provided for guests with pets.
Although the team plans to open new locations, the venue on Boichuka maintains a sense of intimacy and a «local» feel — it’s convenient to drop by for a couple of hours with a laptop or meet friends over cocoa.

This small coffee shop on the first floor of a residential building quickly became a regular stop for locals. People come here for specialty coffee, fresh pastries, bomboloni, and even a game of chess. The venue operates on a generator, and animals are loved here as much as guests — there are always treats for them.
The space is also suitable for work: there is a large table with comfortable lighting where you can easily spend a few hours. Before lunchtime it’s usually quieter, so this is a good time for laptop work. The menu includes sandwiches, desserts, pastries, and coffee drinks that are roasted and ground on site; there’s also a small shelf with merch and coffee for sale.
«Druzhba» often serves as a venue for events: pop-ups, markets, cuppings. And the large windows let in plenty of daylight and open a view of the slope — adding a sense of creative openness to the space.

Cafe 128 is a spacious and bright network venue in «French Quarter 2», created by Milk Bar co-founder Oleksandr Prokhorenko. It’s equally convenient for morning laptop work and for longer work sessions with breaks for lunch or coffee.

The menu is full: soups, salads, hot dishes, appetizers, pastries, fresh baked goods, and a wide selection of drinks — from espresso and signature coffee positions to beer, wine, and cocktails.
Thanks to ample space and plenty of outlets, Cafe 128 is suitable for several hours of work, meetings, planning, and unhurried business calls.
