Slou Coffee is a new café by the team behind the “Franyk” chain, recently opened on Hospitalna Street. The founders describe Slou as “the Ukrainian Starbucks of the future,” yet their focus is not on масштабe but on the philosophy of mindful slowing down.
“We see that people are tired of constantly chasing productivity and are starting to appreciate simple things. For us, Slou is not just about coffee and pastries — it’s about the culture of rituals and pauses,” says co-founder Daria Kuriliuk.
The interior, designed by Specific studio, follows Scandinavian minimalism: wood, concrete, and metal with no visual clutter. Large bookshelves create a cozy lounge area, while shared tables overlooking the city center provide space for work. The café seats 50 guests.
Slou is a perfect choice for the colder season — when you crave not only coffee, but also a sense of calm and slow living.
