Cava.ua is an online wine store where the best selection of the famous Spanish sparkling wine is presented in Ukraine. We adore cava and believe: this wine most fully conveys the spirit of Catalonia - the region where it is produced.
When we first became acquainted with this wine in his homeland, we wanted to open a single-product online wine store in Kiev and focus only on the Spanish sparkling wine. Today in our collection are 11 authentic and very interesting wine producers and more than 70 items.
Despite the fact that Spanish winemakers mainly use three grape varieties - Parelyada, Charello and Macabeo, each one has very different wines and it is always interesting to compare them.
Automation and features of cava production allow winemakers to create quality wine at attractive prices. Nevertheless, in recent years, more and more farms offer mature and complex wines - they are aged longer on the lees, due to which they acquire a more complex and rich taste.
What is kava and why is it worth a try?
Compared to other types of sparkling wine - for example, prosecco or lambrusco - the natural method of champagne is used in the production of cava. At the same time, its price is much more affordable than French champagne (although slightly higher than the basic sparkling ones). At the same time, kava is not just a Spanish variation of a French drink, but a special type of Catalan wine produced in a particular region and using certain grape varieties.
